The Delta Skating Club relies heavily on the help of our wonderful parent and skater volunteers for various events. Parents and/or Skaters are required or encouraged to contribute a minimum number of hours each year based upon the program they participate in.
- Assist Fundraising lead arrange fundraising events
- Creating Flyers/Posters regarding fundraising events
- Distributing flyer/posters to community regrading fundraising events
- Canvas members to volunteer at fundraising events
- Participate in fundraising events
- Canvas local businesses for sponsorship or donations of services/products
- Assist Events and Marketing lead to arrange club events (e.g. open house, Christmas party, etc.)
- Creating Flyers/posters regarding club events
- Maintain club social media
- Write articles regarding club/skaters for publication (Delta Optimist, Thin Ice, etc.)
- Distributing/posters flyers to community regarding club events
- Canvas members to volunteer at fundraising events
- Participate in events
- Creating programs for Ice Show
- Designing and maintaining communication boards at LLC, SDRC, Tilbury
- Provide legal advice regarding contracts, bylaws, etc.
- Counsel club on risk management
- Provide guidance/assistance with completing tax submissions
- Develop and maintain club presence/visibility on social media
